Levi's Vintage Autumn/Winter 2008 in now! Aug 15
As the Levi's brand slogan from 1900 suggested, clothing was designed "for men who toil". Woolen breeches could not match Levi's overalls for hard wearing durability. Indigo denim was worn with coloured plaid shirts and layers of underwear, the guileless look of the lumberjack.
This season's Levi's Vintage Clothing collection is named 'The Fall', celebrating the most glorious season in the forest and remembering the sacrifice woodsmen and nature paid in the name of progress.
Inspiration is taken form woodsmen and their communities that lived within the great forests of the United States. Logging was dangerous work and demanded a heroic spirit and tough clothing, hardy and indomitable. Levi's jeans proved their worth amid the tough trees and wild weather.
The collection is up to buy now although we are still waiting on a few bits. Look out for the new 1978 rigid jean that we haven't seen before. And of course it has a small 'e' tab being after 1971....
